ABOUT ISABELLE

I believe therapy should feel human, not clinical.

At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens through genuine connection. I'm just a person, too, and I strive to show up with warmth, authenticity, and curiosity. My hope is that our time together feels like being deeply seen by someone who is committed to understanding your experience.

Our lives don't unfold in a vacuum. The systems and communities we're part of shape how we experience ourselves, our relationships, and our mental health. I offer an affirming, anti-oppressive practice that honours the complexity of each person's lived experience. This includes ongoing learning about the impacts of racism, colonization, heteronormativity, cisnormativity, ableism, and other forms of systemic oppression. I don't see this as a box to check but as a lifelong practice of listening, learning, and showing up with humility.

Curiosity is one of the values that grounds both my life and my work. I love learning, asking questions, and hearing the stories people carry with them. When I'm not reading for my psychotherapy program, you'll usually find me reading romantasy and fiction.

Outside the therapy room, I love tending my garden in the summer (especially herbs and tomatoes) and baking copious amounts of bread in the winter. Some of my deepest moments of connection come from slowing down enough to notice the beauty of the natural world. Nature reminds me that we are part of it too. Growth isn't linear, seasons change, and there is wisdom in slowing down.
